I began my career as an apprentice carpenter at age 15 in 1975. In 1997, I joined Bouygues / SAUR UK, where I managed social housing projects for 4 years. After that, I joined a housing association for the next 20 years working on all aspects of maintenance and planed maintenance project. I spent the last 3 years working with Grumitt Wade Mason as a contract administrator.
With over 50 years of experience in the building industry, I now focus on job contract administration and project management. Planning to retire in 2026.
Declan brings decades of hands-on experience in construction, project management, and the delivery of residential and social housing schemes. With a career spanning carpentry, site management, and senior project management roles, he has overseen a wide range of building works including refurbishments, extensions, and large-scale housing projects. His practical expertise makes him an invaluable member of the team, particularly in ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standard of craftsmanship and quality.
Outside work, I enjoy rugby, walking, whiskey, and good food.
